The massage modalities offered in our office are very medically based. Our massage therapist is good at finding where the problem is and helping you with whatever your issue might be. If you are looking for help with an old injury, for a light touch relaxing massage or a good deep tissue healing massage, then you have found the right place. Our massage therapist can focus on helping you with any concerns you have and help you decide which modality will help you to restore health and vitality to your body!

I’m sure you have seen cupping marks somewhere before, usually on athletes. Cupping is when cups are suctioned on your skin for a certain amount of time to bring more circulation to the area. It helps with sore or tight muscles, scar tissue buildup, and supports muscle health and function.

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese method used to break up scar tissue and excessive amounts of connective tissue. It is done by scraping a flat rounded edge on the skin after some kind of lotion or oil has been applied to the area being treated. It helps open up blocked capillaries and allows better blood flow to the area. This modality works great for getting rid of all the knots you may feel you have in your neck, shoulders, back and more!

For this treatment, hot stones will be applied on the skin to warm up the tissue and temporarily bring blood closer to the surface to create better circulation and greater ease working the muscles. The heat not only warms the tissue, but also loosens tight connective tissue making it more palpable to the therapist and relax able to the client.

Aromatherapy is when the therapist includes essential oils in the Massage treatment. The outcome of the effects from this treatment depends on the oils that are used, and the type of pressure applied. Whether the oil is used for relaxation, better circulation, or even healing properties will determine more of the affects you will receive.

Deep tissue is a massage with more pressure. Although this can be more uncomfortable during the massage, the healing benefits are many and can help you stay loose for longer and really feel the benefits of the work over you received. Our Massage therapist is known for being able to go deep with pressure and help heal your pain by getting to the root cause.

Abdominal massage is a stomach massage. This massage is used to work on the psoas, or to help with issues like bloating, constipation, low back pain, pinched nerve pain going down the legs and even to help with gut health. This Modality is usually not as comfortable, but the progress this gives really shows in the improvement of life and really makes it worth it.

In Reflexology your hands, feet and head are maps of your body. The Massage therapist will find things that feel off in these maps and will stimulate the area with certain motions to help that area of the body heal.

Have you ever just had a knot in your back? How about when you wake up and feel like you have one in your neck? That’s actually called a trigger point. Sometimes we can have these activated (when you feel that knot), and sometimes they are there before you can even feel them, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t close to causing problems. Trigger point massage focuses on getting rid of these pesky knots and making sure they are not left active. If you feel like you get headaches or migraines all the time, then this might be a sign you have activated trigger points.

Pregnancy Massage is a catch-all term for any hands-on massage during or after pregnancy. This type of massage is helpful during pregnancy to relieve pain and promote better sleep and overall relaxation in the body and hips to help support mom and baby during this special time. After pregnancy, it is helpful in assisting the body in the healing process as well as providing relaxation and better sleep.
